This role:
In this role, your days will be diverse. You will work in all areas of The Happy Hound: daycare and boarding, client care and services, and park oversight and member and guest support. You will be engaging with and interacting with the public every day and will be a forward facing representative of The Happy Hound values and services.
Opportunities:
You will be working closely with our dog trainers and management. We are avid supporters of education and building careers. If becoming a dog trainer is on your radar, there are opportunities to shadow trainers and support their programs. If simply working in the dog care industry is your heart's passion, then this is a diverse and varied job with a ton of potential. The Hours:
This is a PT job with approximately 15 - 25 hours a week available. We have an anticipated schedule and can work around some other commitments, so flexibility can be given and will be required.
Evenings, weekends, and some holidays required.

OVERNIGHT RUFFEREE POSITION – THE HAPPY HOUND SPRAY & PLAY
We are looking to fill an overnight Dog Daycare Attendant shift to work various shifts 6:00PM to 6:30AM, nights TBD and could vary, including weekends and some holidays. This position will monitor and care for dogs in a homestyle sleeping space and provide the highest standard of care for our guests.
The Happy Hound is a positive-reinforcement facility, and no aversive techniques, tools, or management methods are used.
This position reports directly to management, with accountability to the team leads/trainers.
The ideal candidate is someone who is physically active, able to multitask, has a positive attitude, excellent client care skills, and can keep the dogs settled and calm. Cleaning, keeping close watch of the guests and reporting for the morning is required.
Experience with dogs is an asset. There is opportunity for this position to evolve to offer daytime shifts as well.
Shifts could be between 9 to 12 hours long (6pm – 6 am, or 9pm – 6 am), and will be scheduled in collaboration with the successful candidate.

This is more than just a dog trainer position, both in influence through the position and in the responsibilities of the position.
Leading up to open, there will part-time hours available while we collaborate and work on the programs that we will be rolling out upon open. Once open, we have planned this position to be full-time, but for the right person can be flexible with part-time hours.
Flexibility in hours available to work, especially in the opening months, is required, as we figure out the optimal schedule for training services in the park and opportunities for private training opportunities and demand.
As we progress, there is room for this position to focus more solely on training services with commission pay (class, in-park, private, etc) and less on in-park or employee oversight.
