Get started with A Day Train
STEP 1: Schedule a Meet & Greet
A Meet & Greet is a 30-minute pre-booked time where we assess your dog’s comfort away
from you, with us, and in our environment.
At the Meet & Greet:
- we take a video of the Meet & Greet and can walk you through any behaviours or communication cues we note that will inform our program recommendation.
- we will recommend our Social, CLASS or Personal Play activity program.
At the end of the Meet & Greet:
- we will book your dog's First Day of Daycare in advance of the Day Train program starting.
STEP 2: Bring your dog for the First Day of Daycare
During this day, we will:
- begin relationship building with your dog.
- affirm the play program we selected for them (Social, CLASS or Personal).
- assess your dog for any specific behaviours or learning we think they may benefit from in their Day Train program.
At the end of this day, we will:
- review your dog’s first day and experience.
- provide you with a package of materials.
- book your Pre-Day Train consultation with the trainer.

STEP 3: Attend the Pre-Day Train Consultation with the Trainer
During this call or in-person consultation, the trainer will:
- discuss your desired curriculum for your dog’s program.
- book in your dog's days of Day Train.
- schedule the final hand-off consultation for the final day.
STEP 4: Bring your dog for their first day of Day Train!
During each day, your dog will:
- participate in their daycare play program.
- have structured and supported rest time.
- have their scheduled training sessions
Each day you will receive:
- an email update providing details on how your dog did during play time and during breaks.
Each week you will receive:
A video demonstration showing what was worked on so you can practice at home and ensure consistency for your dog.
STEP 5: Celebrate your dog's last day in Day Train
On your dog’s final day, we will:
- hold their final training session.
- have a Day Train graduation post and celebration!
At the scheduled check-out, you will:
- meet with the trainer to debrief the program.
- discuss any next steps or support you might like.

CLASS Day trains
For dogs needing assistance building their comfort and confidence. This Day Train program is a 12-day program that takes place during daycare. Daycare days are either scheduled twice a week or three times a week, for a total program duration of 4 or 6 weeks. Program can be condensed to more days per week.

For dogs who don't do well with others or aren't suited to social play. Our Day Train program is a 12-day program that takes place during daycare. Daycare days are either scheduled twice a week or three times a week, for a total program duration of 4 or 6 weeks.

Days may be rescheduled with 24 hours advance notice and all days must be complete within 8 weeks. Prices do not include gst. If 24 hours' notice is not given, the credit for the day is non-transferrable to another day.

Check-in and out is limited to the hours above. Check-out between 6 pm - 8:45 pm is by pre-scheduled appointment time only.
