About our Facility
Opened in 2023, The Happy Hound Play Park was designed with comfort and play in mind! With 8500 sq ft of indoor parks and 1500 sq ft of outdoor parks, resting spaces and training areas, we offer an experience unique to Edmonton.
Our indoor parks and play spaces are designed to minimize stress and anxiety and maximize physical and psychological safety and comfort.
We pair Fear Free design principles with Positive Reinforcement training values and methodologies for programs and an environment that looks out for your dog's wellbeing and which ensures your peace of mind.
We are the only facility in Edmonton offering our unique programs incorporating and prioritizing relaxed wakefulness into both our daycare and boarding programs; an achievement we are proud of and which is made possible through both our design and having three positive reinforcement trainers on staff overseeing every day's programs.

We would love to host you for a tour! It's important you have the best idea possible of where your dog may stay.
We schedule tours during times that the dogs in our care are away resting and so we can dedicate someone solely to showing you our facility and sleep areas and answering all your questions. Best times for tours are weekdays after 4 pm.

Jennifer Giesbrecht, CPACM
Managing Partner, Founder
Jennifer is a Fear Free Certified Professional and became western Canada's first Certified Professional Animal Care Manager after opening her first dog care and training facility in 2017. She founded the Wellbeing model of dog care and has almost a decade of experience owning and managing positive-reinforcement dog daycare and boarding facilities.
Haley Brulotte, VSA-CDT, VMA, CPACM
Manager, Partner
Haley is a Fear Free Certified Professional and a Victoria Stilwell-certified trainer with seven years' experience in the dog care industry. She brings her passion, experience and education to the daycare, training and boarding programs at The Happy Hound.
Haley is a Fear Free Certified Professional and western Canada's second Certified Professional Animal Care Manager.

Jamey Kay is a Fear Free Certified Professional, whose commitment to animal care began over a decade ago in the equine world; her love of animals knows no bounds, and she began pursuing a career in positive reinforcement dog care four years ago.
Jamey is presently preparing to write the PACCC Certified Professional Animal Care Provider examination.

In addition to leading a variety of our group classes, she is hands-on in our day programs and develops curriculum for all our daycare programs, including puppy kindergarten, day trains, personal play, and CLASS programs.
