Day Train helps dogs build reliable skills that carry into everyday life. Our Day Train program combines structured learning, social experience, emotional regulation, and thoughtful rest to create lasting progress without overwhelm.
Dogs don’t live in a bubble—they live in a world of distractions and challenges, but should always feel connected, calm and confident in the environment they're in and with the people around them.
Day Train allows dogs to practice skills in real-life contexts, around people, movement, and distractions, while still having the rest and support they need to stay regulated and able to learn.
Because training is integrated into the day, dogs are:
Learning sticks best when dogs feel safe, supported, and not overstimulated—and that’s exactly how our days are designed.
Day Train is a great fit for dogs who:
Whether your dog is a puppy just starting out or an adolescent or adult who needs skill refinement, Day Train meets them where they are and helps bring them to where you would like them to be.
With all training, it is always important to keep in mind the training builds skills, but does not create a "finished" dog.
Day Train is a 12-day training program integrated into your dog’s daycare day. Your program includes two private 30-minute one-on-one sessions—a mid-point session to review progress and a graduation session to transfer skills and prepare for success at home.
Each Day Train day includes:
Training focus areas may include:
We challenge dogs thoughtfully—never pushing beyond what they can handle emotionally.
We get to know your dog’s comfort, confidence, and communication style so we can recommend the right daycare pathway.
We begin with a first day of daycare before the Day Train program beings. We use this first day to additionally get to know your dog, their comfort with us, their readiness for learning in a day train environment, and any other supports required. After this day, we build your dog's Day Train curriculum and plan.
We schedule your dog's Day Train days, with training taking place while your dog is with us during those days. This form allows them to learn and practice skills and desired behaviours while still having structured rest, all within a predictable schedule and routine that supports learning and progression.
You receive:
This structured progression allows learning to build steadily and sustainably.
Day Train supports dogs of all ages by integrating intentional learning into the schedule and structure of their day. Day Train is adaptable—whether your dog is just starting out with foundations or building advanced real-world skills later in life.
Puppy Foundations is part of our Day Training program and supports both obedience skills and the environmental, social, and settling learning puppies need to thrive. Sessions are short, positive, and carefully paced to support development without overwhelm.
Puppy training commonly focuses on:
Training is always matched to your puppy’s age, stamina, energy and learning readiness.

At all ages, Day Training supports obedience, emotional regulation, and real-world skill application. Every session is customized to your dog’s needs, confidence, and learning readiness.
Common training focus areas include:

We want you to feel connected to your dog’s progress.
You can expect:
Training is most effective when you understand what your dog is learning and how to support it at home.
Every dog progresses at their own pace. Behaviour change is influenced by many factors, and our focus is thoughtful, lasting progress—not quick fixes.
Day Train follows the same thoughtful care model as our daycare programs. Dogs are individuals, and their needs can shift from day to day.
Based on what your dog shows us, we may:
If we guide your dog into a different care pathway to better support their wellbeing, any difference in program rates will apply.
These decisions are always made in your dog’s best interest and are part of creating safe, positive learning experiences.
Because training occurs within your dog’s daycare day, our trainers observe how learning carries over into social interactions, rest periods, and transitions. This allows us to adjust pacing, reinforce progress, and provide guidance that reflects your dog’s real-world behaviour—not just isolated training moments.
