Our Daycare and Boarding Prep program supports dogs who benefit from a more gradual, structured introduction to our environment and team. This may include dogs who are nervous, easily overwhelmed, unfamiliar with group settings, unfamiliar with new people or environments, or simply new to daycare or boarding.
Your dog learns to trust our staff as familiar, reliable caregivers—not strangers.
Our facility becomes a predictable, secure space where your dog can settle and relax.
Time apart becomes calm and manageable, allowing your dog to develop confidence and emotional stability while in our care.
Prep is often recommended following a Meet & Greet or a dog’s first day of daycare when we see they would benefit from additional support before moving into a regular pathway.
This can include dogs who:
Prep allows us to meet dogs where they are and set them up for long-term success.
Prep may take place during the day, either as a half day or a full day of daycare.
A late check-out from daycare is a very helpful part of prep and helping a dog transition from the regular daycare routine they may be familiar with to the evening schedule with us.
Some dogs benefit by beginning with short 30-minute sessions with a focus on settling, relationship-building, or environmental comfort.
These are scheduled within your availability and based on your dog's needs.
When appropriate, we may recommend short overnight stays to support comfort with evening routines, overnight rest, and morning transitions before longer boarding stays.
Trial overnights are always guided by readiness and observation.
Not every dog thrives with immediate exposure to new or busy environments—and that’s okay. Offering Prep allows us to prioritize emotional wellbeing, safety, and long-term success rather than forcing dogs to fit a structure before they’re ready.
This approach protects dogs, supports families, and reflects our commitment to thoughtful, individualized care.
Prep pricing reflects the individualized time, handling, and structure required to support a dog’s comfort and readiness. Plans are developed collaboratively and may include a combination of options below.

Not sure if Prep is right for your dog? We’ll guide you during your Meet & Greet.
