A Meet & Greet Appointment lets you meet us, lets your dog meet us, and gives us a basic insight into your dog's comfort and confidence with us, comfort away from you, comfort in a new place, and social comfort with others.
1. We proceed at your dog's pace
If, at any point, your dog indicates they're overwhelmed or uncomfortable, we listen to what your dog is communicating and don't encourage them into a situation they're uncomfortable with.
2. We video the Meet & Greet
If we have anything we want to debrief with you, we can show you and walk you through the behaviours we're observing, so you can first-hand see and understand why we're making a specific daycare recommendation.
3. We make a recommendation
We have Social Daycare, Confidence Learning & Social Skills daycare, and Personal Play daycare.
You will provide some information about you and each of your dogs and sign our client services agreement.

If your dog passes for social play: If you complete your dog's meet & greet on a morning, we can usually complete your dog's first day of daycare the same day.
If your dog passes for CLASS program, we ask that you book your dog's first day on a different day so as not to overwhelm your dog.
If your dog passes for Personal Play program, we can coordinate with you for the best first day.
**If you are doing a Meet & Greet to set up boarding, we can book your dog's boarding dates upon completion of the Meet & Greet
If your dog is not well-suited for any of the daycare programs, we'll review the Meet & Greet video with you for your understanding.
Our trainer can then provide any recommendations or guidance or discuss alternative program options with you.
Please reach us at info@thehappyhoundplaypark.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Suggested Vaccinations
All dogs who will be attending daycare or boarding must complete a Meet & Greet.
We conduct Meet & Greets seven days a week. If you book an assessment on a weekday morning and your dog passes, you may enroll your dog in daycare for that same day.
First, we want you to meet us, see our place, and interview us to ensure we meet your expectations.
Second, we want to get to know your dog and how they respond to others and to being with us in our space.
We assess your dog for respectful play and good communication to ensure they will enjoy being part of a social daycare program.
