This six-week Level 3 Obedience, Behaviour & Competition class builds on the foundation from Level 1 and Level 2, challenging your dog to master advanced behaviours for real-life scenarios and the competitive ring.
What You’ll Achieve
If your dog has already mastered intermediate obedience, this course will refine and proof their skills with precision and focus. Strengthen essential commands and take on advanced tasks like:
- Formal Item Retrieval: Train your dog to retrieve items on cue with structure and focus.
- Formal Item Hold: Teach your dog to hold onto items until directed to release.
- Retrieve for Handler’s Scent Articles: Develop your dog’s ability to identify and retrieve scent-marked articles with confidence.
- Proofing Heel Cues: Ensure your dog maintains a perfect heel under increasing distractions.
- Proofing Recall: Solidify recall skills so your dog responds reliably in any environment.
- Formal Obstacle Jump: Refine your dog’s ability to execute formal jumps as part of obedience routines.

Our classes are held indoors in a climate-controlled training room at 8035 Wagner Rd NW, Edmonton.

Completion of Level 2 Obedience & Behaviour Class.

- Over 24 weeks
- Current on Distemper combination vaccine and Rabies

Required vaccinations
Puppies under 24 weeks old require:
- two completed sets of Distemper combination vaccine
Dogs over 24 weeks old require:
- three completed sets of Distemper combination vaccine
- Rabies vaccine
Suggested Vaccinations
- Bordetella
- Flea, tick and lice preventive treatment
Your dog does not need to be spayed or neutered. Female dogs in heat are not able to participate in group classes until 30 days from the beginning of their heat cycle.
Yes, absolutely! We allow a maximum of two people per dog per class.
We keep class size very small to provide the best experience and value for you and your dog. We accept a maximum of 5 registrants per class, with most classes only accepting 4. Small class size benefits you by allowing the trainer to focus on your specific experience and questions.
We follow and teach science-based positive reinforcement practices and methodologies.
If you miss a class
If you are sick for a class or otherwise unable to make a scheduled class, the trainer will provide you with the homework for that missed class. There are no make-up classes offered if you miss a class due to your schedule or sickness. You are welcome to book the trainer for a 30-minute private session to get caught up or have one-on-one instruction for $50.
Cancellation policy
Payment for class is non-refundable or transferrable if cancellation is made less than two weeks in advance of the class start date. Payment is transferrable for a future class within three months of original class date if cancellation is made more than two weeks in advance of the class start date.
